I am leaving soon…this Sunday! btw, for a design research trip to India. We have planning this trip for more than a year and have known it was going to happen this fall, for sure, about a year ago. So, I have been talking about it, reading, exploring the web and books on the different crafts and design of India. Some of the projects I had my classes working on, for my own examples, I wrote about, found imagery and drew different imagery I was seeing in my explorations. You can see above some of the colors and motifs I was inspired by.

I have always been fascinated with religious and spiritual symbolism, as well, so I explored and redrew the Hindu god Ganesha and the Buddha.
